Milk

Instructions
 

  • Shred the cheeses and prepare your chipotle peppers and other ingredients.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 2 minutes until it turns golden.
  • Gradually add the milk, whisking constantly to prevent lumps, and cook until the mixture begins to thicken.
  • Reduce the heat to low and slowly add the shredded cheeses, one handful at a time, stirring until fully melted.
  • Stir in the chipotle peppers, garlic powder, and salt to taste. Add lime juice for a bright, tangy note.
  • Serve your chipotle queso warm with tortilla chips, veggie sticks, or as a topping for nachos. Keep it warm in a slow cooker if serving at a party.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add more chipotle peppers or a pinch of cayenne. You can also make this dip ahead of time and reheat it later.
