A cortado and a flat white side by side in a cozy café.

Cortado vs. Flat White

Though both made with espresso and milk, cortado and flat white differ in milk ratio, texture, and presentation. Cortado is a bold, smooth 1:1 espresso-to-milk drink, while flat white is creamier with microfoam and more milk, making it lighter and softer.
