Ingredients
  

Gochujang

  • 2 tbsp Gochujang Fermented chili paste, a staple in Korean cooking.

Doenjang

  • 2 tbsp Doenjang Fermented soybean paste, used in stews and soups.

Gochugaru

  • 1 tbsp Gochugaru Korean chili powder, used for seasoning kimchi and other dishes.

Soy Sauce

  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce Light Korean soy sauce for marinades and stir-fries.

Sesame Oil

  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil Toasted sesame seed oil for flavoring and garnishing.

Instructions
 

  • Prepare your ingredients: slice vegetables, chop proteins, and gather your essential Korean pantry items like gochujang, sesame oil, and soy sauce.
  • Start by making Kimchi Jjigae: Sauté pork belly and garlic in sesame oil, add gochugaru and kimchi, pour in broth, and simmer. Add tofu and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • For Bulgogi: Marinate sliced beef in a mixture of soy sauce, garlic, pear juice, and sugar. Grill or stir-fry until tender and caramelized.
  • For Bibimbap: Cook rice and prepare sautéed vegetables, egg, and any desired toppings (beef, tofu). Assemble the bowl and serve with gochujang for spice.

Notes

For authentic Korean flavor, use traditional ingredients like gochujang and sesame oil, and experiment with dishes like kimchi fried rice or Korean BBQ at home.
